Scott, Kayla and I had the good fortune of travelling to the little bohemian town of Pai in the mountains of Northern Thailand. This quaint hippie community has such a wonderful vibe and we enjoyed every minute surrounding ourselves with lots of yoga, meditation and tie dye.
I was so grateful to take my first yoga class in Thailand at Pai Yoga Shala. I loved how everyone greeted each other at the beginning of class with hands in prayer saying Sawasdee. Sawasdee is a common greeting that means hello. But, when the Thai speak it, they bow and look at you as if to say, “I see you.”
It is such a gift to be truly present with someone. And I really appreciate how the Thai people are so present with anyone they encounter, even strangers. Although this picture doesn’t capture it, these beautiful kids all greeted me with hands in prayer with big smiles.
In light of this meaningful greeting, I thought that we could honor the most important person to be present with, ourselves.
This week’s 29-minute FREE Hatha Flow Yoga Class, Yoga for Being Present with Yourself, is all about taking time to be connected with your body and mind. Through asana, pranayama and meditation, this class will allow you to bring more awareness into feeling the body and recognizing what it needs to experience each posture more fully.
