Protecting Your Energy During the Holidays – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

The month of December in our home is a non-stop celebration of holidays. It reminds me of Seinfeld’s “Festivus” because we honor many of the traditions from multiple cultures.

For my family, it is not so much about the religious aspect of the holiday, but a time to gather with friends and family to enjoy each other and engage in new and old traditions passed down from generation to generation.

During this time, there is a lot that goes into the preparation for these fiestas. If I am not careful, shopping, cooking, cleaning and being around large groups of friends and family for long periods of time can be energy draining.

So, before I jump head first into the holiday chaos, I always take a moment to “zip up” as a way to protect my energy. What does zipping up mean? It is a method of intentionally visualizing a bubble around your entire being that repels draining interactions and helps to contain a high vibe within your vessel. Visualization is a powerful tool to keep the nourishing stuff in and the junk out.

So, whether you are already knee deep in holiday affairs or getting ready to engage in your next family gathering, come join me for this weeks visualization meditation, Yoga for Protecting Your Energy, and walk away from your event feeling rejuvenated and alive. Enjoy!
