Being Present to Fully Absorb the Beauty Around You – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

I love visiting Costa Rica during their Green Season. The afternoon showers create the perfect conditions for a lush environment filled with colorful, tropical flowers and a million different shades and textures of green.

Anamaya Resort, where we hold our annual yoga retreat, is one of the most stunning properties I have ever visited in the country. One of my favorite things to do is arrive before our guests, so I can witness their reaction when they step out onto the yoga deck and take in the 270 degree view of the Pacific Ocean surrounded by the magical energy of the mindfully curated landscaping that surrounds them. Words can not describe the dream-like beauty and it always takes their breath away.

No matter if you are at home or living in paradise, after a few days in the same environment it is easy for your mind to get used to your surroundings and become numb to the breathtaking beauty. Your mind continuously needs new stimuli to be entertained and therefore can make the most stunning back drop a mundane experience over time.

It takes conscious effort to bring your awareness to the magic that is occurring all around you. Einstein said “There are two ways to live your life, as if everything is a miracle or nothing is a miracle”. Take the time to turn on all your senses to the energy that is right in front of you and you may just find that EVERYTHING is a miracle.
