Happy New Year everybody! Our holidays were filled with excitement and activity and then suddenly they were over. I’m not sure if it’s the Cedar Fever in the Austin air, the gloomy weather or the pressure of beginning my fresh start in 2020 that’s dragging me down, but I have zero motivation to do anything.
My plans for starting a detox cleanse, kicking off my new exercise routine and meditating every morning have been replaced with my desire to watch a full season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” in one sitting. I just cannot get my engine going.
My mind says you should be doing a million different things to launch the decade. And my body says no way. Anyone else experiencing the full force of the Law of Inertia? “A body at rest will stay at rest and a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by a force.” How do I get to the second half of that definition?
If you are surrounded by a sluggish aura, don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with you. Winter is the season for being lethargic. Look around at nature and you will see all creatures hunkering down for the next few months in their cozy jammy-like state expending very little energy. I guess we should be doing the same.
Winter is a time for reflection and contemplation. It’s the perfect opportunity to draw inward, visualize and nourish what fabulous things you want to bloom in the Spring.
But, if you are still feeling torn between “Do” and “Be” and you need a little pick-me-up to find balance between the two during these cooler months, then join me in this opportunity to light a small fire under your butt. A little spark to get your momentum going might be just the trick to finding some balance in your world.
This week’s 27-minute FREE Hatha Flow yoga class, Yoga for Revving Up Momentum, is all about building and containing energy within the body to inspire motivation. Through asana, pranayama, meditation and visualization, you will boost your internal fire to push you over the hump of stagnation and into your life.
Yoga with Meditation Mutha is for everyBODY. Please join me in this opportunity to stimulate your drive and move beyond your idle state. Enjoy!#yogawithmeditationmutha#meditationmutha

If you haven’t checked it out already, Scott and I had such a fun time being interviewed about our year-long trip around the world by Travis Sherry with the “Extra Pack of Peanuts” podcast. He caught us at the very tail end of the adventure and captured a lot of emotion and reflection about our journey. If you ever thought of taking some time off for long term travel or you’re interested in learning about some of the hilarious stories that happened along the way, click on the link above to check it out. It’s pretty entertaining! #extrapackofpeanuts #goyetteworldadventure
