Teaching Oneness Traveling on the Road – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

One of the incredible things about home schooling on the road is that we have the opportunity to take the local culture and history of whatever country we are visiting and weave it into Kayla’s education.  Sixth grade Social Studies focuses on world history, so it was the perfect year for our adventure around the world. And we have been blessed to have so many firsthand experiences to enrich our daughter’s schooling.

While kids back home were studying the Panama Canal’s effects on commerce, we were standing at it’s shores watching the ships come in.  And while 6th grade students were gaining knowledge of Mayan Civilizations from textbooks, we were in Guatemala taking part in a Mayan Fire Ceremony.

It has been wonderful to gather direct knowledge from the source of each subject we have studied.  As we made our way around Eastern Europe the last few months, Kayla and I started reading “The Diary of Anne Frank” and talking about WWII.  We saw the effects the war had on so many countries like Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Poland.

In Krakow, we were able to take a tour of the Jewish Quarters, see Schindler’s factory where he saved 300 Jews and visit the ghettos where the Jewish people were forced to live during German rule of Poland.  We also took a tour of Auschwitz concentration camp and learned about all the atrocities millions of people endured, just because they were “different”.

The enormity of the devastation that took place during WWII sunk in, as I was standing in front of thousands of baby shoes taken from children that perished at Auschwitz.  The heart breaking experience made me wonder, how did humanity drift so far away from our sacred truth, “We are One”?

Visualize standing in front of the ocean and releasing one drop of water into the vast sea.  There is no way to identify that individual drop as it blends into its source.  In the same way, we are all just energetic bodies that come from the same source.  We are all ONE.

This week’s 18-minute FREE Hatha Yoga Class, Yoga for Oneness, is all about moving your energetic body to connect with universal energy. Through Kundalini breath work, asana and meditation, you will have the chance to experience your own elevated essence and unity with the cosmos.
