Spring is such a magical time in Central Texas. There are wildflowers of every color blowing in the breeze. As a bonus with the recent rain we experienced, all of the plants and animals seem to be flourishing with life.
My backyard garden is no exception and has responded beautifully to the cooler temperatures and wetter than normal conditions. Everything is brilliant green and blooming in a rainbow of colors.
One of my favorite things is to sit quietly on my back deck in the morning and observe the nature around me. The birds are vocalizing their unique song to greet the sunrise. The lizards are sprinting back and forth on the fence to attract a potential love connection. The bees are buzzing and the butterflies are flitting from flower to flower busy at work.
This ritual of pausing to notice my surroundings in nature is extremely grounding and helps to set the intention for a peaceful day. It is so important for our mental and physical health to get outside on a daily basis, absorb the sun on our skin and take a moment to appreciate the natural world we live amongst.
