    Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

    Did you ever do something way outside of your comfort zone and once it was done you felt so exhilarated from stretching yourself beyond your limits? This is the high you get from growth.

    The only way you can grow and progress on your human journey is by pushing yourself beyond your own boundaries. Everything that you want which you do not already have lives outside of these borders.

    Earlier this year, in February, I did something that was a huge desire of mine and totally outside of my comfort zone. I co-hosted for the very first time a Yoga and Safari Retreat in Tanzania, Africa with the fabulous Gabriele Brown, owner of Urth Expedition.

    Seventeen of us embarked on a thirteen day adventure of a lifetime to the Serengeti. There, we were surrounded by thousands of animals of every species to include elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards, warthogs, wildebeests and so much more than we could have ever imagined. We were there during the great migration and witnessed new born zebras frolicking in the grass and wildebeests suckling their mamas.

    We did yoga on a deck in the middle of the bush surrounded by nature with the roar of lions as our backdrop. We were deeply immersed in the native Maassai culture and had the opportunity to dine on a variety of the delicious local fare. Our accommodations were very high end, magnificent and the perfect place to rest our heads after a long day on safari. The entire experience was done first class.

    I felt so thrilled after stepping out of my comfort zone and accomplishing a desire that delivered way beyond my wildest dreams. The experience was so completely elevating in every way that Gabriele and I decided we must hold a second Yoga and Safari Retreat in 2024 to share the adventure with others.
