Traveling always throws my digestion off. The foreign water and food slows my system down so being in Costa Rica for three weeks made my body revolt by digging its heels into the sand and not “producing” anything at all.
For some, travel takes on the opposite effect where their digestive system reacts to ethnic foods by letting everything go with a bang.
No matter what your stomach’s reaction to unusual food and drink, it is important to find a happy belly when you travel. Ninety percent of your serotonin (bliss hormone) is surprisingly produced by your gut. Taking a perfect poop is truly of the utmost importance to your happiness.
