Scott, Kayla and I had such a fun visit from two dear friends who came down to see us in Guatemala right before Thanksgiving. It was perfect timing, because we were all craving connection from home.
We spent the long weekend exploring the historic town of Antigua. We enjoyed a chocolate cooking class, learning the process from bean to bar.
And my friend Lisa and I took a fabulous tour of a local coffee plantation where we were made to realize the incredible work that goes into bringing a delicious cup of coffee to your table.
The amount of energy and personal care it takes to mindfully produce coffee just blew me away. And I was so impressed with the passion from Miguel, the farmer, and his family for their business.
At the end of the tour, we gathered in Miguel’s home and enjoyed a delicious lunch created by his wife. As we toasted with a cup of coffee that we handmade from bean to cup, my thoughts went to the realization of how many people it takes to bring breakfast or any meal to my table.
There have been so many times, where I have been woken up to reality. It’s those moments in your life, those wake up calls, that change your perspective and amp up your appreciation ten fold.
In spirituality, “Waking Up” is the ability to see what truly is. It is the capability to remove all fogged lenses of your own stories and distracting emotions to experience reality.
This week’s 23-minute FREE gentle Hatha Flow Yoga class will clear the fog and get you going in the morning with a sharp mind and open heart. Using breath of fire to rev up your inner fire and a flow to awaken the muscles and joints, this class will leave you feeling enlivened to conquer your day while increasing flexibility.
Yoga with Meditation Mutha is for everyBODY. I hope you will join me in this opportunity to come alive in body and mind.
