After being in the crazy energy of Bangkok for a week, I was more than ready to get out of the city and head to the beach community of Hua Hin, Thailand. As soon as we arrived, I could sense the stress from the hectic city melt away and a feeling of ease sweep over my body.
The more we travel to different areas of the world, the more I realize my happy place is around nature. I literally feel a sense of relief when I can touch the earth with my bare feet and take in the sounds and sights of the natural world. Digging my toes into the white sand beach reminds me that I need to spend the majority of my time in this environment, so I can reside at my highest vibration.
For some of us the energy of the city makes us feel alive. For others, the serene setting of the country, beach, forest or jungle feels like home. No matter where that special place is for you in the world, it is important to be aware of which setting allows your body and mind to function at its peak capacity.
Surrounding yourself with the energy that invigorates you will invite more creativity, abundance and peace into your life.
This week’s 20-minute FREE Hatha Flow Yoga Class, Yoga for Getting in Your Flow, is all about connecting with your breath as we move through a simple repetitive sequence and get into our natural state of balance.
