We only see each other about two times per year. But, when we do it’s like no time has lapsed and we pick up right where we left off. That is one of the many wonderful things about having a friendship of over 43-years.
My BFF, Alisa, and I met when I was three and she was four years-old. And on that day, after she asked if I wanted to be her best friend, we immediately developed a bond of a lifetime.
We have cheered each other through the wins, made each other pee our pants with laughter so hard my belly ached and supported each other through the hard times. Her and her beautiful daughter are visiting in Austin this week and having them here reminds how important tight-knit relationships are to have in your life.
