This week the kids went back to school in Texas and you could feel a shift in the energy from the summer ease. The structured schedule was even more apparent than usual transitioning from schooling at home for the past 1.5 years.
Gone are the days when you can just roll over, power up your computer and jump into first period in your jammies. Going into her first year of high school, my daughter wakes early to get ready and catch the bus and doesn’t arrive home until the early evening. It is a long day that reminds me of all the exhaustion that comes with commuting to work and back.
If a new routine has got you ragged or you are regularly part of the 8 am – 5 pm grind, then you need a way to let go at the end of the day. It is so important to decompress and release any stress or tension that has built up.
This week’s 12-minute floor yoga class, Yoga for Decompressing, is all about letting go of stress at the end of the day. Through Lion’s Breath and cleansing postures we will open up our release valve to clear our body and mind. Yoga with Meditation Mutha is for everyBODY. Please join me in this opportunity to surrender any emotions, energies or stories that no longer serve you and start anew.
