Speaking Your Voice – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

It’s that time of year again…do, do, do! The lax summer schedule has transitioned to a more regimented back to school energy.  And along with this change, there is an element of additional requests asking you to do more.

Being a doer myself, with a playfully given nickname of Get’r Done Goyette, in the past I often found myself being “YES Girl” during this season.  Can you be a parent volunteer for this club?  YES.  Can you help with the Neighborhood Watch event? YES, YES, YES.

Until I found myself overwhelmed with tasks that didn’t give me pleasure and wondered how I got there again.  Could it be that I have always been a people pleaser?  Or was it because I didn’t know how to set healthy boundaries and just say NO?

Having the ability to speak from the heart and state the truth reflects a healthy throat chakra.  When we feel we can not voice our opinions, set boundaries and state how we really feel in a loving way, our throat chakra is out-of-balance.

This week’s 17-minute FREE Hatha Yoga Class, Yoga for Speaking Your Voice, is all about opening the throat chakra to enable expression of inner voice. Through asanas that build up to a supported shoulder stand posture, breath work and meditation, we will balance the throat chakra to empower you to set boundaries in relationships and articulate your thoughts in a loving manner.
