Welcoming the Day – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

This past week my best friend of 47 years, Alisa, took me and my mom down to Cancun to celebrate our milestone birthdays. We have such a fun time when the three of us get together. It’s so incredible to be around “sisters” that make you belly laugh so hard that you pee your pants. That is how we rolled all week, laughing until we cried.

Several times throughout our vacation, as we were lounging by the pool or sitting near the ocean enjoying the beautiful breeze, I thought to myself “How lucky am I to spend this quality time with two of my most favorite people in the world.” This pause brought so much gratitude into my heart for being blessed with an abundance of loving relationships with people who are always looking out for my best interest.

It is easy to take the support of loved ones for granted because you get used to all of the kind gestures they do for you on a daily basis. For instance, my husband Scott constantly does a lot of work behind the scenes to make our travel experiences amazing. All I have to do it show up and enjoy.

It is so important to acknowledge the little things because that is what life is made of…a series of kind acts from friends, family, co-workers, strangers, the lady at the grocery store check out etc. Everyone is working to make your day just a little brighter. How fabulous of them!

Looking for a way to incorporate this gratitude into your daily routine? Scroll down and come join me for this week’s class, Yoga for Welcoming the Day, and get inspired to show appreciation for each moment.
