When traveling half way around the world to The Maldives, no one ever tells you the significant impact jet lag has on your body and mind. A ten hour time difference almost exactly flipped our sleep cycle and took several days upon arrival to this gorgeous destination to acclimate.
The same happened upon our return to Austin only settling into our regular sleep pattern seemed to take longer. My husband and I found ourselves wide awake at 4am just twiddling our thumbs for about a week. Slowly normality creeped up and we are finally able to fall asleep and wake up at a decent hour.
Many of us have challenges falling or keeping asleep for a variety of reasons. For me, my sleep is always challenged when I have a lot on my mind.
So, I thought I would share a yoga practice that will lead you into pure relaxation so you can drift off to sweet dreams. Enjoy!
