opening your heart to fun

Opening Your Heart to Fun – yoga with Meditation Mutha

Austin, Texas is an incredible city. There is live music every night of the week, endless amounts of dancing opportunities and more woo-woo workshop offerings than you could ever want to attend. There is definitely something wrong if you are bored in this town. The only thing that you have to do is open up your heart to fun!

This week I got together with a group of girlfriends to go salsa dancing at a cool, new venue. I love the dancing scene in Austin because you do not have to show up with a partner like in many cities. Whether you’re doing two step, swing or Latin dancing the norm is to switch partners after every song. I always feel so elevated after a night out dancing, especially when I can celebrate with my friends.

What lights you up? Is there something you haven’t done in a while that nourishes your soul?

Doing what you enjoy is one of the best things you can do for your health. Pleasure increases your happy hormones, relaxes your body and mind and reduces stress. Intentionally engaging in leisure time is one of the most important appointments you can make with yourself.

So, put the work aside for a few hours. The dishes can get done tomorrow. No one is going to starve if you skip grocery shopping today. Get out of the house and have some FUN!

Need a little inspiration to kick start the fun? Then join me for this week’s Heart Opening Yin Yoga Class and make space for joy to come into your life!
