meditation for connecting with a loved one who has passed

Connecting with a Loved One Who has Passed – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

Last Wednesday was the two year anniversary of my dad’s passing. I can not believe he has been gone for that long.

I felt very emotional the few days leading up to the date and could not figure out why. I talked with my best friend Alisa and she reminded me that it may be a reflection of how I was feeling on those days two years prior.

I woke up on his anniversary and lit a candle for my dad. I felt the need to connect with him and sat down to do a meditation. Behind my closed eyes, I was sitting on a dock at the lake I grew up on. It was foggy and my dad appeared through the mist and gave me a big smile. I sat for a moment taking in all of his features; the shape of his hands, the color of his hair.

We reached out and hugged each other and it felt so amazing to feel him in my arms. We stayed their for a minute in a full embrace breathing in unison. Then he turned around and vanished into the fog. I opened my eyes feeling full of my dad’s love.

After my experience, I felt called to create a meditation to help others connect with their loved ones who have departed. If you feel drawn to spend a moment with your loved one who has passed, then please scroll down and join me for this week’s meditation. Sending lots of love to you!
