Building Core Strength – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

This is a mile marker birthday year for me turning the big “50”!  I always like to reflect back on where my mind was at ten years prior and how much I have grown in the past decade.

Along that line, it’s interesting to observe the changes in my body as well.  No matter how hard you try to age gracefully, there are inevitably significant differences between a 40 year-old body and a 50 year-old body.

My strength, flexibility and cardio health efforts have had to increase generously just to maintain.  If I have a little gluten or eat too much salt my eyes get puffy and I feel bloated.  This is a far stretch  from once-upon-a-time when I could eat anything I wanted with no effects.

Yes, things sure are changing, but one thing that has stayed the same is the importance of core strength at any stage in your life.  Your core is the center point of your body and provides stability so you can move throughout your day safely.  Maintaining your core strength will assist you in continuing an active lifestyle so you can enjoy your world as you age.

Therefore, I thought I would share an awesome yoga class that focuses on abdominal strength, so you can enhance your physical and mental state-of-being.  Enjoy!
