    Getting Yourself Out of a Funk

    Have you ever felt down or a little off? This past week I was in a funk and I am not sure why. Nothing in particular happened negatively. In fact, everything went pretty well. I just felt uninspired for some reason.

    We have all experienced the ups and downs of this roller coaster we call life. Sometimes we are on the highest of highs and there are times we experience the lowest of the lows. The important thing to keep in mind is that no matter what state you are currently in, it is only temporary. That is the nature of life. Things are continuously changing.

    So, if you know that heavy feelings are not permanent, what are some steps you can take to inch your way back to feeling yourself again?

    One of the best things you can do is surround yourself with high vibrational friends and family who can support you during challenging times. They may not have the answers, but they can listen and be a mirror to help you work through your feelings. They can encourage you to get out and do something you love. And, they can check in on you to make sure you are headed in a healthy direction.

    In addition to developing an excellent support team, there are things you can do on your own to get yourself out of a funk. A gratitude practice can bring your attention to all the amazing things in your life. A walk in nature can help you feel grounded and connected. And, intentional breath work is an excellent way to circulate energy within your body and mind to move you towards a brighter day.
