    Zipping Up Your Energy for the Holidays – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

    The holiday experience may be a very unique one this year. If you are like my family, instead of having the whole gang of 15-people at our home to celebrate the festivities, we will be enjoying a Thanksgiving meal in mini pods of immediate family members connected via Zoom across the nation on the big day.

    Just like you, we have not all been together in more than a year. And same as you, we miss everyone terribly.

    But, if you are lucky enough to celebrate with loved ones during the holiday season, whether in person or virtually, take time to appreciate the moment. Because, one thing we have learned from this wacky, world-wide dilemma is you never know when your situation will change.

    And for those longing to be near family during this festive season, I will offer you one bit of solace. No family gatherings, no family feuds!

    That’s right, you don’t have to worry about Uncle Larry getting drunk, making a pass at your sister-in-law and throwing a cheap shot at your brother. Or, better yet, you can avoid your cousin bringing their massive Saint Bernard to your home, who loves to piss on your brand new carpet. See, there is an upside to this whole isolation thing.

    No matter what your situation, the holidays can be a little stressful. Between the anticipation, preparation, cooking, cleaning, invited (or unexpected) guests etc., you may find yourself a little drained. It is important to maintain your energy during this season to combat energy suckers and keep your immune system high.
