Increasing Stamina – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

This past weekend my husband, Scott, and I went out to San Francisco to celebrate my birthday with my brother and sister-in-law. Within minutes upon landing, we were on a 25 mile bike ride trekking up Hawk Mountain. My quads were on fire as we ascended the steep conditions.

Next, we drove up to Mendocino and did a three hour canoe ride up the Big River. Finally, we took an eight mile stunning hike through the redwoods. Needless to say it was a very active vacation.

Although I run every day, my newly 49-year-old body felt a little tired after the butt whipping of activities. There is something to be said about balancing cardiovascular activity with strength training to increase stamina.

Unfortunately, at this time, I have zero strength. So, I thought this week’s practice would be all about developing stamina through progressive strength exercises. Enjoy!
