Developing Gratitude – Yoga with Meditation Mutha

We will have visited 26-countries by the end of our year long adventure around the world.  As you can imagine, it’s almost impossible to learn over 20 distinct languages for each region.

Before we arrive at a new location, it is my job to look up how to say four phrases, from which we have gotten by with throughout our travels.  The first of course is “Hello”, which they say “Salut” in our current home of Romania.  The second is “Goodbye”.  And the third is “How much is that?”

But, the fourth phrase is by far the most important one that we have used during our journey.  “Thank you!”  I can not tell you the amount of incredible reactions we have received when we state this phrase of gratitude in the native language.

And when our daughter Kayla makes an effort  to give thanks in the local language, people stop to hug her, give her gifts, squeeze her arm and shower her with other endearments.  People are so pleased to be appreciated.

Throughout our venture, we have developed the practice of showing gratitude towards a group that is typically underappreciated, the maid service.  Before we leave, Kayla and I make cards in their local language and usually leave some type of gift along with a tip.  We have been chased down the hall and received a huge hug from a woman that was so excited we thought of her.

Expressing gratitude is the easiest way to live a life of grace.  When we are appreciative of something, the universe answers us with abundance.  Giving thanks for the little things like a beautiful sunny day, a few minutes of peace and quiet or a warm cup of coffee in your hand sends an energetic message that you request more of those things in your life.  And not surprisingly, living in a state of gratitude allows you to reside at the highest vibration.

This week’s 20-minute FREE Hatha Yoga Class, Yoga for Developing Gratitude, is all about living your life in Grace Through Gratitude. Through asana such as side plank and side plank modifications, breath work and a gratitude meditation, you will walk away from this class filled with hope and love.

Yoga with Meditation Mutha is for everyBODY. Please join me in this opportunity to fill your cup with appreciation for all the little things in life. Enjoy! #yogawithmeditationmutha#meditationmutha
